It's a moment a lot of veterans and their families in NE Kansas have hoped for a long time: Gov. Kelly issued an executive order authorizing the construction of a NEW veterans home for Northeast Kansas, with an application for federal grant funding to be filed no later than April 2022. The federal government's Department of Veterans Affairs provides grants for new home construction, with costs covered up to 65%. That's a huge step forward!
