Veterans' Home legislation moving in the Senate

As you'll recall, my legislation to authorize construction of a new Veterans' Home in Northeast Kansas was blocked by the Chair for the House Social Services Budget Committee earlier this week.

I am happy to report that Senator Tom Hawk has introduced a companion bill to House Bill 2610 in the Kansas Senate so that this important legislation may proceed without political games.
